Elle a ri au silence;
Et alors je lentement me suis rendu compte;

ps: I went to a Palahniuk book signing today. It was awesome. Also, I have two weeks of high school left.
A necklace, a friendship, and a beam of light
She said:
write a poem about a fountain.
But, I said, this means nothing
– She said, So?
and besides, it has already been done.
– She was silent,
as if there were no more to be said.
The sun glinted on her necklace,
and then I was blind.
The sun glinted on her necklace
more than it glinted on the fountain.
Here, we and our diamonds
transcend the laws of light.
Her fingers brushed the gold without thinking,
and universes were destroyed,
rebuilt and realligned.
She laughed at the quiet;
I was caught by my tendency to stare.
And then it slowly dawned on me;
she was the gem on the end of the chain.
